Roswell residents can walk through the town's earliest history on a guided tour of the historic district Saturday, Nov. 7.

The 90-minute tour, part of the city's History Seek Saturdays series, starts at 1 p.m. at Roswell Town Square and winds through Mimosa Boulevard and Bulloch Avenue before ending inside one of Roswell's historic homes, according to the city's registration page.

Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic & Cultural Affairs organized the outing. Participants will learn about Roswell King's vision for a planned mill town, see the original Presbyterian Church and several homes built by enslaved people for coastal planters.

Tickets cost $12 and must be purchased in advance. As of Oct. 22, 18 spots remained. Registration closes Friday, Nov. 6.

The city promoted the tour on Instagram and X on Oct. 22, describing it as a chance to "discover the stories that shaped Roswell."

The specific historic home participants will enter at the tour's end has not been announced. Residents interested in tickets can visit the city's Amilia registration page before the Nov. 6 deadline.
