Roswell High School senior Tyler Pressnall made ITG Next's statewide top-10 performers list for Week 8 of Georgia high school football. The outside linebacker and punter earned the recognition after contributing on offense, defense and special teams in the Hornets' 39-13 win at Alpharetta on Friday, Oct. 9.

Pressnall, a 5-foot-9, 172-pound senior, carried the ball five times for 90 yards and two touchdowns on offense. On defense, he recorded five tackles, including one tackle for loss. He also blocked a punt.

On special teams, Pressnall averaged 40 yards per punt and had one punt downed inside the 5-yard line, according to ITG Next's Phil Jones. The statewide list, published Wednesday, Oct. 14, featured nine other standout performers from across Georgia, including Carrollton's Nick Archer and Lowndes' Mason Woods. ITG Next highlighted Pressnall's contributions across all three phases of the game.

The recognition followed a rough outing for the Hornets, who fell 34-5 to Gainesville on Oct. 2 before beating Alpharetta 39-13 a week later. Head coach J.T. Thompson discussed the turnaround on ITG Next's coach's show. A promotional post on X from ITG Next - Georgia on Tuesday, Oct. 13, tagged Pressnall, Thompson and Roswell Football while previewing the episode.

Roswell sits at 5-2 overall and 2-1 in Class AAAAAA Region 7, good for third in the region standings, according to MaxPreps. The Hornets are ranked 19th in Georgia.

The 5-2 mark includes wins over Walton, Etowah, Archer and Lanier alongside losses to Newton and Gainesville. Three region games remain on the schedule, starting with a critical stretch that will shape Roswell's playoff positioning.
