Metro Vein Centers will open its first Georgia clinic on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 11660 Alpharetta Highway in north Roswell, bringing specialized vein treatment to the Holcomb Bridge/GA-400 medical corridor.

The Michigan-based company, which operates 76 clinics in nine states, is setting up in Building 515 of the Roswell Business Center & Medical Plaza, directly across the street from Wellstar North Fulton Medical Center. The company is branding the Roswell address as the "Alpharetta location" because of its proximity to the city line, Appen Media reported.

The Roswell clinic is the first of five total Georgia locations Metro Vein Centers plans to open in the Atlanta metro area, according to a company press release. Four additional clinics will follow, though the company has not announced their locations or timelines.

Dr. M. Ali Pervaiz, a board-certified physician and vein specialist, will lead the clinic. Pervaiz is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians who trained at Hamdard University and New York Medical College, with affiliations at Mayo Clinic and Emory University listed on his Metro Vein Centers profile.

"Many people don't realize that symptoms like leg heaviness, swelling or aching can be signs of an underlying vein condition," Pervaiz said in the announcement.

The clinic will offer radiofrequency ablation, Varithena, VenaSeal, sclerotherapy, spider vein removal and diagnostic ultrasound evaluations. All procedures are minimally invasive. They take less than 30 minutes, according to the company's location page, and patients can typically drive home and resume normal activities the same day.

Metro Vein Centers says it accepts more than 200 insurance plans and that over 91% of its vein treatments are covered by insurance.

Founded in 2008 and headquartered in West Bloomfield, Michigan, the company employs between 501 and 1,000 people nationally.

Hours at the Roswell clinic will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The phone number is 678-972-1486.
