The Movie Tavern on Woodstock Road scored a 72 out of 100 on its July 28 health inspection, landing just two points above the threshold that can trigger a restaurant closure in Georgia.

That's near the bottom.

The inspection at 4651 Woodstock Rd., Suite 430, was conducted by Cobb & Douglas Public Health, which handles food service oversight for the Cobb County portion of Roswell. The score appeared in the Cobb County Courier's weekly inspection roundup published Aug. 4.

Under Georgia's 100-point scoring system, any score between 70 and 79 represents "marginal compliance," indicating multiple or repeated critical violations that must be corrected for the establishment to remain open. A score below 70 is considered unsatisfactory and can force a closure.

Movie Tavern's 72 was the second-lowest score among all Cobb County food service establishments inspected during the week of July 24–30. Only Swapna Indian Cuisine on Cobb Parkway in Atlanta scored lower, at 68.
