Fifty-four Roswell restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, and tasting rooms are competing for the title of "Best Sip in Roswell" as part of the 11th annual Summer Sippin' beverage competition, which runs through Tuesday, August 18.
The event, produced by Roswell Inc. and Visit Roswell, features more than 60 cocktails and mocktails created specifically for the competition. Residents visit participating locations across the city, try the drinks, and rate their favorites to help pick a winner.
New interactive guide
The biggest change for 2026 is a free interactive guide at SummerSippin.com. After registering, users can browse the full drink list, save favorites in a digital "Backpack," check in at each stop, and share plans with friends. The guide replaces the previous app-and-website rating system, according to the event's official site.
Each participating location created between one and three original drinks for the competition, according to event promotional materials. That means dozens of options spread across Canton Street, the historic district, and surrounding corridors.
What's on the menu
Deep Roots Wine Market is pouring a Liquid Gold Slushy made with white wine, non-alcoholic rum, pineapple purée, mango purée, lime, and citrus aperitif. BEY Mediterranean offers the Salted Melontini, built on Purity Vodka, fresh watermelon juice, lime, agave, and feta brine.
Those are two of more than 60 entries. The competition spans alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, with mocktails included in the lineup.
Who's behind it
Roswell Inc., the city's economic development organization, and Visit Roswell, its destination marketing arm, produce Summer Sippin' as a sister event to Roswell Restaurant Week. Presenting sponsors for 2026 are Gas South and Huntington Bank.
Monika Scott, owner of Sublime Tree, said on the Roswell Inc. website that her shop's 2018 Summer Sippin' victory produced a smoothie that "quickly became one of our top sellers and a customer favorite." The competition has run every summer since 2016.
How to participate
Registration for the interactive guide is free at SummerSippin.com. Residents can start rating drinks immediately and continue through the August 18 deadline. The participant with the most community votes will be crowned Best Sip in Roswell after the competition closes.
