A free mobile guide built for navigating Alive in Roswell launched Friday, July 24, 2026, giving visitors to Canton Street's monthly street festival an interactive map, parking directions, and live traffic data without downloading anything from an app store.
The Survive Alive App, built by Pulse Media Group and hosted at Roswell Pulse, is accessible at roswellga.online/survivealive. It requires no login and no payment, according to the Roswell Pulse article announcing the launch.
Alive in Roswell shuts down Historic Canton Street from Highway 9 and Magnolia Street north to Norcross Street on the third Thursday of each month, April through October, from 5 to 9 p.m. More than 54 restaurants and shops line the corridor, and the app is designed to reduce logistical friction for first-time attendees navigating the closures.
What the app does
The Survive Alive App is organized around the decisions that trip up newcomers: where to park, how to get there, and how to leave without sitting in a post-event traffic jam.
Key features, according to Roswell Pulse:
- Interactive event map showing all five venue zones, free and paid parking lots, restrooms, and the designated rideshare pickup point on Mimosa Boulevard.
- Parking Wizard identifying every downtown lot by cost, walking distance to Canton Street, and which side of the road closure it sits on. Free lots at Roswell City Hall and the Cultural Arts Center run a trolley to Historic Town Square.
- Traffic Wizard pulling live Waze and GDOT data across seven corridors, including Ga. 400, Holcomb Bridge Road, and Alpharetta Highway, with projected volume by hour.
- Crowd density scrubber letting users drag through the evening hour by hour to see when the street is busiest.
- Event-day weather forecast with hourly temperature and rain probability from 5 to 9 p.m.
The app also recommends ALERTRoswell, the city's free notification system. Attendees can text ROSWELLEvent to 888777 for real-time weather, traffic, and safety alerts during the festival, according to both Roswell Pulse and the official Roswell365 event listing.
How it works on your phone
The Survive Alive App is a progressive web app. Open it once in a mobile browser, add it to your home screen, and it caches for offline use. On event day, the app enters "event mode," reordering its layout to put the forecast and hour-by-hour crowd section at the top.
Pulse Media Group is also offering a free downloadable PDF poster with a QR code linking to the app, aimed at Canton Street businesses for shop windows and event tents.
The app maps five venue zones stretching from the food trucks near the Rock 'N' Taco lot at the south end to Heart of Roswell Park's DJ stage on the north side, with the Antique and Interiors Lot main stage, Historic Town Square, and East Alley side streets in between.
Next festival date
The next Alive in Roswell is Thursday, August 20, 2026. The app's lineup page lists performers by date, though organizers note lineups may change; Roswell365.com has the latest.
Canton Street closes in stages on event days: Elizabeth Way and the Webb entrance shut at 2 p.m. for vendor load-in, the Antique Lot closes to parking at 3:30 p.m., and Historic Canton Street itself closes at 5 p.m. Streets reopen after 9 p.m. on the city's teardown schedule.
