Roswell High School landed on the 2026 America's Healthiest Schools list, a national recognition from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation that evaluates schools on student and staff wellness.

The school announced the honor on its official X account on Monday, Sept. 7, crediting its Nutrition Department and staff for the achievement. The post noted the school is "getting our green in," a nod to the award's branding.

Roswell High is one of 1,376 schools across 35 states and Washington, D.C., to make the list this year, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. The Alliance for a Healthier Generation, whose programs have reached more than 31 million young people, released the full list on Aug. 25. Kaiser Permanente sponsors the annual program.

Schools are evaluated across nine categories: nutrition and food access, physical education and activity, social-emotional health and learning, health education, staff well-being, family and community engagement, tobacco-free environments, school health services and local wellness policy implementation. Honorees are recognized for supporting the physical, mental and social-emotional well-being of students, staff and families.

Of the nearly 1,400 honorees, only 200 earned the top "All-Star" designation for excelling in all nine areas, the New York Post reported. Whether Roswell High received that distinction has not been confirmed.

Traci Causey, CEO of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, said in a statement reported by the New York Post on Aug. 26: "Every school recognized this year demonstrates what's possible when we prioritize the well-being of students and staff, creating environments where everyone can thrive."

The Fulton County Schools campus, established in 1838, serves about 2,035 students in grades 9 through 12. It is one of 106 schools in the Fulton County Schools district, which enrolls roughly 87,000 students. The district operates a School Nutrition Department at the district level, and Roswell High's post singled out its campus nutrition team as central to the recognition.

No ceremony date or formal district response to the award has been announced.
