Roswell High School could receive replacement competition turf and additional athletic storage if Fulton County voters renew an education sales tax Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The projects are among 11 improvements listed for the school in Fulton County Schools’ Capital Plan 2032. Nearby Crabapple and Elkins Pointe middle schools are also slated for track and court replacements, according to the district’s Roswell cluster fact sheet.

Roswell High’s proposed work includes roofing, heating and cooling systems, an emergency generator, electrical systems, a fire panel, flooring, ceilings, a kitchen hood exhaust fan and LED lighting. Elkins Pointe would also receive a building entrance security upgrade.

The district cautions that each school’s final scope will depend on building conditions, identified deficiencies and replacement schedules. The fact sheet does not provide individual project costs or construction dates.

Athletic improvements elsewhere in the district could include high school track resurfacing, turf replacement, stadium work and expanded equipment storage. The district’s Projects by School page provides cluster-level lists, including a separate fact sheet for Centennial High School.

The ballot question would renew the one-cent Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, known as ESPLOST, beginning July 1, 2027, after the current tax expires.

The referendum sets a countywide collection ceiling of approximately $2.096 billion over no more than five years. Revenue would be shared between Fulton County Schools and Atlanta Public Schools, with Fulton’s portion capped at about $1.306 billion, according to the official election notice.

Fulton describes its financing approach as pay-as-you-go, allowing capital work without interest costs. The same ballot question separately authorizes Atlanta Public Schools to issue up to $350 million in general obligation debt.

Capital Plan 2032 covers facilities, technology, safety and security, transportation, furniture and equipment. District officials used facility assessments, enrollment projections and community feedback to establish priorities, according to the June 12 board bulletin.

Voters have selected ESPLOST to fund Fulton’s previous six capital programs, the district says.

Early voting began Oct. 13. On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at assigned precincts.
