Reid Voglesonger, a Roswell High School student in the Class of 2027, is one of 19 students across Georgia selected for Junior Achievement's Nineteen Under Nineteen recognition program.

Voglesonger co-founded Lineage Wood Co. with his father, a business making handcrafted wood products that grew out of a school project. On its website, the company describes itself as a father-and-son operation that kept going because they couldn't stop. Running the business gave Voglesonger hands-on experience in production, inventory, pricing, sales and marketing, according to a Fulton Neighbor profile published Sept. 16.

JA of Georgia, which announced the third annual class on its website, described Voglesonger as a woodworking entrepreneur transforming confidence into handcrafted products and ambitious ideas. The organization credited his participation in 3DE by Junior Achievement, a school-based program that teaches business principles, with helping shape his vision.

John Hancock, president and CEO of JA of Georgia, said in a statement that the 19 honorees reflect extraordinary talent across the state and that each has found a meaningful way to lead and serve.

Voglesonger was one of four Fulton County Schools students on the list. The others are Jonah Mann and Alex Bigsby of Northview High School, both Class of 2027, and Jane Zhang, also of Northview, Class of 2028. The 19 honorees represent ten regions statewide and were nominated by educators, peers and community members.

Outside the workshop, Voglesonger is drawn to the business side of professional athletics. He is particularly interested in management, budgets and data, and plans to study entrepreneurship and business in college while developing his skills as a writer.

Each honoree receives a scholarship to support educational or entrepreneurial goals. Voglesonger and the other Fulton County honorees are expected to be recognized at the JA Atlanta Business Hall of Fame on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2027, according to the Fulton Neighbor profile.
