Roswell drivers and pedestrians at Mansell Place and Highway 9 will get a traffic signal, crosswalk and new road striping under a partnership between the city and True North 400.

The North Fulton Community Improvement District (CID), which does business as True North 400, listed the project on its website as one of its 2026 Quick Win projects. The City of Roswell is a partner. The project had entered the permitting phase as of Monday, Aug. 31.

No cost estimate, construction start date or completion date has been posted. The True North 400 project page lists all three as to be determined.

Highway 9, also known as Alpharetta Highway, runs north-south through Roswell. The intersection at Mansell Place does not currently have a traffic signal.

The True North 400 project page lists the City of Roswell as a partner but does not describe the formal arrangement between the two entities. True North 400 is funded by commercial property owners who voluntarily tax themselves to pay for transportation and infrastructure improvements across north Fulton County.

Previous Quick Win projects have included pedestrian improvements along North Point Parkway and Windward Parkway and upgraded MARTA bus shelters in Alpharetta and Roswell. In a February 2026 Georgia Trend feature on north metro Atlanta CIDs, True North 400 Executive Director Kristin Winzeler described earlier Quick Win intersection work: "We enhanced that intersection and added a pedestrian median in the middle. We fixed some of the timing in crosswalks as well." That quote referred to the North Point and Windward parkway projects, not the Mansell Place signal.

Winzeler also told Georgia Trend in February that the Quick Win program had built five upgraded bus shelters in Alpharetta and was installing the first shelter in Roswell.

For comparison, another active True North 400 project partnering with Roswell carries a larger price tag. The Hembree Road widening from Wills Road to Maxwell Road, spanning about 0.55 miles, has a $7.2 million total financial commitment with a $200,000 CID investment.

The Mansell Place project page does not list a next milestone or a date for permit approval.
