Roswell's commercial districts added 16 new or revamped businesses this summer, spanning restaurants, wellness studios, entertainment venues, and a $20 million parking deck, according to Roswell Inc.'s Summer 2026 roundup published Monday, Aug. 3.

The wave follows a spring season that saw 18 ribbon cuttings, signaling sustained commercial momentum across Canton Street, the historic district, and surrounding corridors.

Here's what opened:

Food and drink

Nahalia Thomas opened her first Jeremiah's Italian Ice location in Roswell, serving more than 40 flavors of Italian ice layered with soft serve. Spice of Thai cut the ribbon under new ownership with a redesigned interior. Hugo's Oyster Bar added a new enclosed patio and expanded dining area for year-round coastal seafood.

Bellini Osteria Toscana, the family-owned Italian restaurant, held a grand reopening after a fire filled the dining room with smoke during a Saturday dinner rush in early March. Owner Paul Ardaji had told Atlanta News First in March he wanted to reopen within a month; the restaurant was back in business by early July, according to Rough Draft Atlanta.

V's Coffee Collab, founded by a local musician, debuted with a "People-over-Profits" model that directs a portion of every purchase toward funding independent local artists.

Retail and services

Nicole and Mike Dorazil celebrated a dual milestone: relocating their custom candle studio West + Peak and opening companion shop Roswell Supply Co. at 34 Webb Street. The expanded storefront pairs hand-poured fragrances and Sip + Pour workshops with local lifestyle apparel.

Frock Stars, a dress-up photo studio created by founder Carrie, opened at 435 Jones Drive on Friday, July 17, offering party celebrations and full-glam "Icon Experience" sessions. Car Spa held a grand reopening after facility upgrades.

Health and wellness

Yara Matthew expanded Fitness Mpire from a mobile personal training service into its first brick-and-mortar studio. Dr. Teresa Dawson opened Embodiment Health and Wellness, combining physical therapy, Pilates, yoga, and energy healing. Roswell Center for Nursing and Healing, formerly Roswell Nursing and Rehab, completed a $2 million renovation under new ownership, adding short-term rehabilitation, long-term skilled care, and in-house dialysis.

Entertainment and events

The Back Nine brought indoor golf simulators with real-time swing analytics to Roswell. YOU42 Studios debuted as a creative production hub with working studios, live performance stages, and dining. Social House opened at 1098 Green St. as a nonprofit event venue in partnership with Home Church Roswell; all rental proceeds benefit The Drake House, which supports local mothers and children.

Parking

The Downtown Roswell Parking Deck, a 394-space structure at 1056 Alpharetta St., opened Monday, May 4. Funded by $20 million from the $179.6 million bond package voters approved in November 2022, it is the largest facility the city has built since City Hall in the early 1990s, according to Roswell Connections. Parking is free during the approximately six-month Green Street construction closure. A connector road on the deck's north entrance was named Kevin Cash Memorial Drive, honoring Roswell Firefighter Kevin Cash, who died in the line of duty on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020.

"Offering parking at no charge in the new deck during construction is our way of making sure downtown remains open and accessible throughout this process," Mayor Mary Robichaux said at the May 4 ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The city is collecting usage data at the deck and other downtown locations through the end of 2026 to guide future parking decisions.
