Canton Street closes to traffic the evening of Thursday, Oct. 15, as Alive in Roswell returns with live music, food trucks and more than 20 vendors.

The free festival runs from 5 to 9 p.m., stretching along Canton Street and into the Roswell Antiques and Interiors parking lot at Canton and Webb streets. The City of Roswell hosts the event every third Thursday from April through October.

Better Than the Beatles headlines the main stage at the Antiques and Interiors lot, according to the city's event listing. Local artists and nonprofit organizations will also set up booths there. A DJ performs at the Heart of Roswell Park. Sponsor Rock 'N' Taco provides the music programming at the Antiques and Interiors lot stage.

Vendors line Canton Street and Elizabeth Way, and shops along the route stay open for the evening. Food trucks park in the Rock 'N' Taco lot. From the Earth Brewing Company handles beverage service, selling Gate City Brewing craft beer, wine, sangria and water.

Face painters and balloon artists will be on site for kids.

Dogs are welcome on a leash.
