Canton Street's monthly block party returns Thursday, Aug. 20, with a fresh food lineup and live music as the 2026 Alive in Roswell season heads toward its October close.

The free festival runs from 5 to 9 p.m. on Historic Canton Street and the Roswell Antique and Interiors Lot. The city promoted the event as "new month, new flavors" in an announcement Tuesday, naming Rock 'N' Taco Roswell, Phoenix Senior Living and Wellstar Health as this month's featured partners.

Rock 'N' Taco, the Tex-Mex restaurant and live music bar at 928 Canton St., is sponsoring the evening's music. Co-founders Brad Hancock and John Michael Brunetti opened the 7,000-square-foot venue in the same building where Hancock's father ran Montego Bay restaurant in 1986. Food trucks will set up in Rock 'N' Taco's parking lot during the event.

Atlanta band Davis & The Love headlines the Antique Lot stage, with a DJ at Heart of Roswell Park.

From the Earth Brewing Company handles beverage service, selling Gate City Brewing craft beer, wine, sangria and water from tents along the route. Open containers are allowed within the Historic District in clear plastic cups; outside alcohol is not permitted.

Parking and road closures

Elizabeth Way and Webb Street close at 2 p.m. Canton Street shuts down from Highway 9/Magnolia Street to Norcross Street at 5 p.m. The downtown parking deck at 1056 Alpharetta St. offers 394 spaces and remains free during the ongoing Green Street construction.

Thursday's edition is one of the final three events of the 2026 season, with dates remaining on Sept. 17 and Oct. 15. Dogs on leashes are welcome, and face painters and balloon artists will be on site for children.

Phoenix Senior Living, headquartered on Crabapple Road in Roswell, and Wellstar Health round out the sponsor roster alongside Gas South, Prime Golf Carts and Chick-fil-A Roswell Corners. Admission is free.
