Roswell's Viva Roswell concert series returns for a second year with three performances celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center on Forrest Street.
The series runs from Saturday, Sept. 19 through Sunday, Oct. 11, with tickets starting at $9. Councilwoman Eren Brumley, who is from Mexico and has lived in Roswell for nearly 30 years, said the programming reflects the city's demographics.
"Sixteen percent of Roswellians are of Hispanic descent. This is a big part of our community, and we need to make sure they have visibility and feel included," Brumley told The Georgia Sun. She added that music crosses cultural lines, saying events like Viva Roswell "showcase the legacy and vibrancy of Hispanic music."
The series opens Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. with "A Musical Tour Through Latin America" by Havana Son. The family-friendly show invites guests to sing, clap, dance and play percussion instruments while exploring music from Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Colombia. Tickets are $9, with a group rate of $8 for parties of 10 or more.
The C.O.T. Band takes the stage at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. The Atlanta-based group was founded in 2010 by Ecuadorean vocalist Willie Ziavino and Panamanian musician Juan Bonini, according to Hoodline. The band fuses salsa, merengue and bachata with funk and jazz. Tickets start at $17.
The series wraps Sunday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. with "Dueling Latin Tenors," featuring Adelmo Gimenez and Jose Luis Bracho performing opera and Latin music alongside pianist Dr. Jose Manuel Garcia. That show is presented in partnership with the ATL Latino Arts Collective. Tickets start at $17.
All three concerts take place at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest St. Free parking is available beside the center and across the footbridge in Lower Lot F at City Hall. Beer, wine and sangria will be sold at each event.
About 16 percent of Roswell's roughly 91,500 residents identify as Hispanic or Latino. Brumley, elected to Post 5 on the Roswell City Council in November 2025, has championed the series as a way to give that community visibility.
Viva Roswell debuted in 2025 with a bilingual comedy night, a Peruvian music performance and an Atlanta Salsa All Stars concert. The city, the Georgia Council for the Arts and several local businesses sponsor the series.
